Hire Salesforce API & Integration Developers

Add integration engineering capacity to a Salesforce backlog your team directs. Tell ForceFolks which systems exchange information, where the developer’s responsibility begins and who accepts the transaction.

Engineering for a defined system boundary

Give each transaction an accountable handoff

  1. 01

    Interface agreement

  2. 02

    Salesforce implementation

  3. 03

    Transaction review

What each handoff covers
Interface agreement
Your integration owner defines the contract, identifiers, permissions and expected transaction behavior.
Salesforce implementation
The developer builds or changes the approved API, callout or event handling within your architecture.
Transaction review
Your reviewers check acknowledgement, duplicate or delayed messages and the support handoff.

Follow one use case across the handoffs.

Turn a requirement into a clear brief

Salesforce APIs or middleware engineering?

An API role should connect code changes to business records. Explain where the transaction starts, who owns its identifier and how the team knows the receiving system accepted it.

Illustrative deliverable

An API acceptance packet

  1. Transaction: an approved order sent from Salesforce to its downstream owner.

  2. Failure case: a timeout followed by the same request arriving again.

  3. Evidence: intended target state, visible error handling and an escalation owner.

The change belongs in Salesforce and the middleware model stays in place.
Request a Salesforce API or integration developer for that boundary.
The work changes Anypoint applications or wider orchestration.
Specify the middleware runtime and discuss the corresponding specialist.

Name both systems, data direction and expected volume. Include an anonymized transaction example and who owns the interface contract.

Request an integration developer

The right profile depends on where the contract lives. A Salesforce API engineer can own Apex callouts or event handling. An Anypoint build may instead need a MuleSoft developer with access to that runtime.

What should the first workstream cover?

Take a new or failing connection from record creation to downstream acknowledgement. Decide which system owns the business identifier, whether it can be retried safely and where the support team can see an error. Test both a timeout and an acknowledgement that arrives twice.

What to agree before work starts

  • Interface contract with identifiers, auth and limits
  • Replay and idempotency test with a duplicate event
  • Monitoring and escalation handoff for failed transactions

Can we use an API engineer without changing middleware?

Yes, if the current middleware already handles orchestration and only the Salesforce side needs change. Include its owner in contract and volume testing before release.

What to include in your brief

Send the two systems, direction of data flow, expected volume and an anonymized transaction example. If ForceFolks should own delivery and acceptance, ask for a scoped integration project.

Before an enquiry

Questions to settle before work starts

Do we need a Salesforce API developer or a MuleSoft developer?

Use the component ownership to decide. A Salesforce engineer can work on Apex callouts, platform events and Salesforce endpoints under your architecture. A MuleSoft engineer may own Anypoint flows, DataWeave and runtime operations. When both are involved, use one shared contract and separate component acceptance.

Does the integration role replace a general Salesforce developer?

Only when the backlog warrants the specialization. General Salesforce developers can also handle direct API work alongside Apex, LWC and SOQL. Request a specialist when transaction design, authentication, event delivery or failure recovery is the dominant responsibility, and assess that capability with a representative task.
