What each handoff covers
Your sponsor
Set the business result, approve scope decisions and provide the people or systems needed to unblock delivery.
Delivery workstream
Group the agreed design, build and testing responsibilities around a capability that can be reviewed as a whole.
Your receiving team
Accept the working result and use the documentation, operational instructions and ownership record after the delivery handoff.

Your priorities. Defined responsibilities. Reviewed work.

Turn a requirement into a clear brief

Outsource a result or extend a team?

Buy a delivery responsibility, not an unclear bundle of hours. Your sponsor still sets business priorities and acceptance; the proposal determines who coordinates design, engineering, testing and release.

Illustrative deliverable

A supplier responsibility brief

  1. Outcome: one agreed Salesforce capability or integration workstream.

  2. Responsibilities: supplier coordination, client approvals and external dependencies.

  3. Acceptance: a working demonstration, relevant evidence and a handover your team can use.

You need a supplier to coordinate the defined delivery work.
Discuss a project scope with milestones and acceptance ownership.
Your lead already manages the backlog and engineering process.
Compare embedded capacity through staff augmentation instead.

Describe the capability you need, the work your team will retain and who can approve the finished result.

That might be a release pipeline that runs reliably, a working ERP connection, or a set of quoting rules that RevOps can maintain. Your sponsor approves business rules and priorities. We agree who owns design, build, testing and handover before issuing a proposal.

What can you delegate?

Scope decisions and acceptance evidence

Scope decisions and acceptance evidence
If you need Scope to request Acceptance evidence
A working integration API mapping, failure handling and operational handover A failed message can be traced and retried without duplicating an order
An org your team can release safely Legacy code review, remediation and deployment automation Your admin can repeat the release using the delivered instructions
A specialist inside your sprint Staff augmentation under your lead Your team reviews the specialist’s contribution against its own backlog

For an ongoing support contract, specify coverage, priorities and escalation separately. For a build, identify the person who can approve changes to scope. Without that owner, even a well-staffed project can stall at acceptance.

What should the proposal include?

Ask for the work breakdown, assumptions, exclusions, owners, acceptance scenarios and dependencies. Agree who pays for changes and who owns the repository. The handover should identify what shipped, what still needs attention, how to operate it and who has access.

Linvelo’s operations manager describes a ForceFolks engagement covering legacy Apex, ERP synchronization and a deployment pipeline. The client reports receiving code, documentation and release instructions for its internal team. Read the client review on Clutch.

Can we outsource one workstream?

Yes. Describe its inputs, expected outputs and the people who will approve them. If your product owner already assigns and reviews individual tickets, use Salesforce staff augmentation to scope the missing role instead.

Before an enquiry

Questions to settle before work starts

Can we outsource delivery while retaining architecture approval?

Yes, the responsibilities can be divided in the agreed scope. Name the architecture approver, response window and decisions the delivery team may make without escalation. Include the effect of delayed approvals in the plan. Retaining approval does not mean the supplier can infer undocumented business rules.

How should we compare an outsourcing proposal with staff augmentation?

Price the same backlog, acceptance scenarios and working period. Compare engineering, QA, delivery coordination, release cover and handover separately. Staff augmentation normally leaves prioritization and acceptance with your team. A managed workstream must identify who is accountable for completing and operating the agreed output.
